I am a clinical psychologist in private practice in San Jose, California. The clinical training I received illuminated for me the importance of integrating mind, body, and spirit in a solutions-oriented approach to helping others. I offer my services in an atmosphere of respect and trust, with the hope that I can facilitate the growth and well being of those I serve.
With my experience of working with a broad spectrum of psychological and emotional issues, I have developed a therapeutic approach that always takes into consideration the needs of the person I am working with in the moment. My areas of expertise include both cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic methodologies, as well as advanced training in EMDR and hypnosis. In addition, I have extensive training in, and continue to research, the most up-to-date methods in psychological, personality, educational, and career interests and skills assessments.
Prior to attending graduate school to become a clinical psychologist, I worked in the high tech industry in Silicon Valley for 16 years. This experience informed me tremendously about the effects of work-related stress, interpersonal conflict, career decisions, and educational paths. I particularly enjoy helping people work through these issues and build on their strengths to achieve greater balance and satisfaction in life.
I believe it is important to support my community and I get great satisfaction helping others through the following organizations:
- Give an Hour, a non-partisan non-profit organization that provides free mental health services to U.S. military personnel and families affected by the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan
- Santa Clara County Medical Volunteers for Disaster Relief
- American Red Cross
